Move to New Orleans nearly finalized

I've discovered that the $2500 allotment that my new company is providing for moving expenses isn't enough for a professional move. The cheapest I could find for having provessionals simply load, drive, and unload the truck would be $3200.

So, it looks I'm going to have to go the U-Haul route, which is considerably less expensive. About $1000 for everything. I'll probably fly a friend down who has a lot of moving experience (and muscle) to help out.

Now, all I need to do is find a place! I'm probably going to rent my first year, though if I find a killer deal on a purchase property I may go that route. One of the purchase properties I really like is this one:

Yeah, I know... it's pink. I really like the style though. I'm sure I can always paint it a more appealing color later. Perhaps some shade of blue.

I'm expecting a list of potential rentals to arrive via email later today. Once I look over those, I'll be able to select which ones I'd like to see when I travel down to New Orleans around the 20th.
